2011 Classes - Registration opening soon!

Crop 4 Kids' talented instructors are bringing you SIX classes to the event on March 19th!


For the first time, these classes are not just for the croppers. We are going to open up spots in our classes at our sold out crop to the PUBLIC! So, that means if you weren't able to secure a seat to crop you can still attend the event to take a class and shop.


Our instructors and sponsors have made it possible that 100% of the class fees will go to Children's Hospital! Thanks so much to Leica, Sonja, Christy, Kimberly and Virginia for donating your time and expertise to us.


Now on to the line up of classes. We will be running 2 classes rooms and in order to get all the fun things we have planned at Crop 4 Kids this year, we will have to run 2 classes in each time slot.

Leica Forrest - 11 am - 1 pm (2 hrs)

Layers, layers and more layers

Have you ever wondered how to try some of those fun paper layering techniques out there? I love mixing and matching patterned papers, ripping and tearing, creating layers. Come join me and we'll break out of our comfort zones. You will create 2 layouts.

Please bring: scissors, paper trimmer, adhesive, black marker

Virginia Wong - 11 am - 1 pm (2 hrs)

Introduction to Copic Markers - presented by Scrap Shotz

Join Virginia Wong, Certified Copic Instructor, and Scrap Shotz, as we explore the world of Copic Markers! We'll spend more than half the class on where to start, coloring techniques, blending, color selection and back it up with lots of practice. Then we'll use our images to complete 6 cards, with brand new CHA lines! As a registered class participant, you'll receive 10% off all copic products purchased from Scrap Shotz during the crop, as well as a chance to buy the class markers at a very low price! Christy Riopel - 1:30 pm - 3:30 pm (2 hrs)

Mixed Media Canvas

If you like getting messy and playing with paint, ink and stamps then this is the class for you. Let Christy teach you how in to incorporate the elements of mixed media into your paper crafting repertoire. Make a fun and funky 11 x 16 canvas frame that lets you display your favorite photos as a work of art.

Please Bring: Scissors, Mat Mode Podge or similar, Zip Dry or Similar wet adhesive, Walnut Stain Distress Ink Pad (well inked), 1 inch foam brush, 1-1 ½ inch paint brush, Wet Wipes, Reminisce Black Pen or similar, Paper Piercer

Kimberly Collis - 1:30 pm - 3:30 pm (2 hrs)

Spring Mini Album

Spring is in the air, and what better way to count down the days than with a spring inspired mini album! Lots of pastel colors, pockets to store momentos, and fun galore!

Cost - $30

Leica Forrest - 4 pm - 6 pm (2 hrs)

Creating {Art} while playing with lot's of Techniques
In this class we will play with a lot of different techniques to create a layout. We are going to stamp, emboss, glitter & glimmer mist and have fun creating unique embellishments. Definitely a class that could get your hands dirty so please bring baby wipes and wear suitable clothing.

Please bring: scissors, paper trimmer, adhesive, black marker optional items different sizes of circle punches, border punches and a wet adhesive like Fabritak

Sonja McLean - 4 pm - 6 pm (2 hrs)

Product Playground

Join Sonja in a product playground, exploring the best in today's scrapbook embellishments. We'll play with lace cardstock, transparencies, rub-ons, stickers, flowers, buttons, die-cuts and much more! Achieve fun, eclectic style in no time with this single 12x12 layout using 4x4 photo sleeves.

Cost - $25


Please bring: 2 - 3 photos, paper piercer, adhesives, trimmer, corner rounder, sanding block or emery board and scissors.

Registration will open for croppers on Wednesday, February 16th at 9 am MST.

Registration will open to the public on Wednesday, February 23rd at 9 am MST.

There will be a class registration fee for anyone registering to take classes that is not part of the all day crop. This $20 fee will include a mini goodie bag as well as one meal at the event (lunch or dinner, dependent on the time of the classes you are attending). All proceeds from the class registration fees will go to the Children's Hospital as well!
